Meet the Fort Collins office

As Owner and Executive Director, Gil oversees all activities for Senior Helpers of Fort Collins. He is dedicated to improving the lives of our clients, and hiring compassionate caregivers that meet their specific needs. Gil most recently led Senior Helpers of Madison, WI, one of the largest offices in the country, utilizing his experience from over 20 years in a number of industries. He is grateful to work for a company that shares his passion for helping seniors live independently. Gil looks forward to helping more people and their families by growing Senior Helpers in Northern Colorado.

As Community Engagement Manager for Senior Helpers of Fort Collins, Chris utilizes her hometown roots to collaborate with community partners on supporting our local seniors. Chris revels in the opportunity to talk with community members including families of prospective clients to assist them in finding resources within the community that best fit their needs. Chris has worked as a Business Analyst for Harley-Davidson headquarters and Colorado State University. Most recently, Chris taught in a high school work-based learning program teaching career skills while creating community connections to support students with internships, jobs and volunteerism positions. Her desire to impact people in positive ways and experience dealing with the challenges of aging within her own family drew her into working with the senior community. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business - Management Information Systems from University of Wisconsin and a Master’s in Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University.

As Office Manager for Senior Helpers of Northern Colorado, Crystal will ensure the best client/caregiver match and manage everyday office challenges. She has been with Senior Helpers as a caregiver since 2012. Her knowledge and experience in caregiving and family care coordination will enable her to lead our team of compassionate caregivers to long-term success with our clients.

As Community Relations Coordinator, Emily loves to connect different members and organizations within the community to make big things happen. Through past nonprofit work, she has seen the impact that one organization or even one person can make, and she wants to instill that mindset to every family she meets through Senior Helpers. Emily has worked in communications and public relations for nonprofits such as Special Olympics and the Palmetto Health Foundation. She has also worked in more niche markets such as web design and event planning. Emily constantly shows her support for the Northern Colorado community by volunteering with different organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County.

Lauren is a caring new team member, whose passion is to help others. Whether she’s traveling the world or cruising around Colorado, she loves adventure and finding meaning in the little things. She has lived in 4 countries and explored 5, and she has plans to visit every country on Earth in her lifetime. When not at her “office job,” or working on her degree in Sustainable Interior Design, Lauren loves to be outdoors kayaking, hiking, or ice-skating. At home, she creates art, designs disabled-accessible public spaces, and enjoys playing with her cat, Bitty.

Stefan is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Colorado in early 2020. After moving to Colorado, he discovered his passion for helping seniors live comfortably in their own homes. He worked as a caregiver for about a year before starting as Office Coordinator at Senior Helpers. Though he will definitely miss the caregiving aspect of his job, he's looking forward to helping clients through clerical work. In his free time, Stefan enjoys playing guitar, snowboarding, and hanging out with his kitten, Dolly.
