Walk to End Alzheimer’s

On Saturday, August 24, the Senior Helpers Team from Farmington Hills gathered together at the Detroit Zoo for their 12th Walk to End Alzheimer’s. It was 72 degrees and the day couldn’t have been more beautiful. Local celebrities Chuck Gaidica, who lost his mom to Alzheimer’s, and Diana Lewis, emceed the event for the Alzheimer’s Association. The Detroit Walk is the second largest Walk in the US, with over 6,000 Walkers and almost $620,000 this year raised (and counting!). Our Team of 30+ raised $7,000 this year! Thank you to everyone who donated to this very worthy cause. We are very proud to be a part of this wonderful fundraiser each year to find the First Survivor.
