Meet the Beaverton Office

More than 90% of seniors want to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting. At Senior Helpers Beaverton we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated. Kelli Bradley opened the Senior Helpers Beaverton office in 2007 because of her passion for helping others and her interest in the growing need for in-home care services. Our new owner, Lance Hansen is committed to delivering the best possible in-home care to seniors in the Beaverton community.

We take the opportunity to provide in-home care seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible. Over the past twelve years we have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs.

Our History

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies. They realized most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and affordable in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand. Over the past 13 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Senior Helpers Beaverton was proud to join the system in 2007. Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.

Lance Hansen was drawn to Senior Helpers because of his compassion to be involved in a business that is about helping others.

Our team has grown to six team members and 53 caregivers. We have been lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community over the years, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant. This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, review our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Lance Hansen

Owner

I was born and raised in Oregon and have lived in the Northwest most of my life. After spending the last 20 years working in the corporate world for other people, I decided it was time to find a meaningful business I could operate for myself. Recent experiences with my grandmother and next door neighbor helped lead me to in-home care and I’m excited to be involved in a business that is all about helping others. I enjoy spending time with my wife and three adult children along with golfing as much as time will allow. I look forward to working with our great Senior Helper team in the office as well as our dedicated caregiving team.

Administrator/Operations Manager

Born and raised in Wisconsin, I have worked in the medical field for 12+ years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medical Assistant. After moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2016, I decided my next step was to advance as a leader in Healthcare and pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. My passion in life has always been helping others and increasing positivism within the workplace to create a trusting environment for everyone around me. Stepping into a role at Senior Helpers has opened the door to make a positive impact in the lives of senior clients and the community. The option to relocate to this beautiful part of the country has opened so many doors of opportunity for me. I enjoy spending my down time outdoors hiking, camping and traveling. I am excited for what the future will bring alongside my dedicated team at Senior Helpers.

Education/Training

At the young age of 13, I realized a couple of things: I had a heart to serve others and I knew that nursing would be my career. After completing college, I spent many years in various nursing environments with patients of all ages: hospitals, clinics, pediatrics, and adults; and I practiced at home nursing in a few states, and served as a volunteer in Romania and Israel. While working in a hospital, I found myself feeling distressed as I watched patients being discharged who did not seem ready to take over their care. However, I was also convinced that people healed better in their own homes; thus, my career path changed to working in Home Health, Hospice, and Community Health. I had found my niche! I enjoyed getting to know the patients and their families in their places of comfort. I could practice all aspects of nursing from clinical tasks to providing education for the patient and caregiver(s), and supporting and coaching a dying patient and their family through the end-of-life process. My special focus in the past 15 years has been geriatrics, disabled adults, and has included the added opportunity of teaching the next generation of nursing students.

I’m now in my early retirement years and happy to bring with me my history and experience, as well as that joy I’ve always had in caring for and serving others. As the Education and Training RN for Senior Helpers (Beaverton), I have an open door to equip caregivers to safely and compassionately serve our older and disabled adults and to support our office staff. What a great way to practice nursing! Thank you Senior Helpers!

Billing

It was my privilege to join the Senior Helpers team seven years ago. I had retired but felt a lack of purpose in my life. When I met Kelli I was instantly inspired by her passion to provide the very best services to her clients. My contribution to this goal is to manage the bookkeeping and financial records so that Kelli can be focused on client care. I am committed to maintaining accurate records and available to answer any questions you may have regarding your statements.
