Meet the Franklin Office

More than 90% of seniors want to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting.  At Senior Helpers Franklin we believe  getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated.  We are committed to delivering the best possible in-home care to seniors in the Franklin community.

We take in-home care very seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible.  Over the past years we have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs.

Our History

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies.  They realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and affordable in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand.  Over the past 13 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Senior Helpers of Franklin was proud to join the system.  Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.

We have been lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community over the years, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

We currently serve the Middle Tennessee community from our multiple locations:

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Is Home Care the Answer?

Due to our responsiveness, dependability and personalized care, Senior Helpers has become one of the most trusted providers of senior assistance services in Middle Tennessee.

Charles Brown

Charles Brown

Lead Scheduler - CSM

Charles grew up in the small town of Greeneville in northeast Tennessee. (Home to President Andrew Johnson and the Band Perry) He started his healthcare career in 2014 working with handicapped adults with mental disabilities. Charles then put his love of healthcare aside to become a storm chaser and travel. He has lived and worked in Charleston, SC, New Orleans, LA, and Tampa, Florida while working for a hurricane relief company.  He returned to Middle Tennessee in 2017 and started his career with Senior Helpers as a caregiver. He quickly became Murfreesboro’s Scheduler/Office Support Personnel due to his healthcare experience and eagerness to grow within the company. Not long after, Charles was promoted to the Client Service Manager & Lead Scheduler where he showed his love of seniors.  In 2020, he took on the challenge of Client Service Manager, in the Franklin office and is still growing.  He enjoys guiding the scheduling team by sharing his experiences and the need to find the “right caregiver” for our clients.  One of his many strengths is assigning the caregiver that is best suited for our client’s needs.

Charles still has a strong passion for storm chasing and is currently attending online classes and then plans on transferring to UNC Asheville to finish his Meteorology degree. Charles’ goal is to get his Ph.D. in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science and becoming a Severe Weather Specialist. Charles also enjoys home projects and spending time with family.

Christy Logue

Christy Logue

Field Coordinator

Christy grew up in Burwood, TN, a small community on the outskirts of Thompson’s Station. She is married and with 4 kids, 4 step kids, 6 grandkids and several pets including a ferret named scooter. Christy is very family oriented, always making sure that her family is taken care of and have what they need. She has always had a heart of caring for others (both people and animals). Christy has worked in childcare in and both in and out of facility settings. She also provided care for her parents and grandparents.

Christy is a woman of faith and have done her best to instill those values in her children. She got the opportunity to go to Israel in 2019 and experience and explore the Holy land. From being rededicated in the Jordan river to taking a mud bath in the Dead Sea. Christy got to sail on the Sea of Galilee, walk the streets of old Jerusalem and worship at the Western “wailing” Wall. She was able to visit the birth and death site of Jesus and eat foods that she did not have a clue of what it was. It left a profound effect on her. Christy truly left there with a more in-depth prospective on loving and caring for others among many other things. Christy uses this passion and these skills while caring for the elderly at Senior Helpers.

Caring for a Loved One with Dementia or Alzheimer's

Caring for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's is difficult. At Senior Helpers we have trained specialists in the area of dementia care. If you need immediate care we are on our way.

I received an emotional call from (a family member) this morning just absolutely thankful and praising the services she got from you guys over the last couple of days. She said that our team helped her more than she could have ever imagined or expected and she is beyond thankful. She is so grateful to whoever answered the phone the other day at 5am and had a caregiver there to help within hours and she couldn’t believe how much you guys cared about getting someone there. She said she couldn’t have dealt with the passing of (client) without your help and the amazing caregivers that were sent. You really really, REALLY helped someone who needed it and that’s what this is all about.
