Meet the Hendersonville Office

At Senior Helpers Hendersonville we believe getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated. We are committed to delivering the best possible in-home care to seniors in the Hendersonville community.

We take in-home care very seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible. Over the past years we have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs.

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies. They realized most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and affordable in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand. Over the past 13 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Senior Helpers Hendersonville was proud to join the system. Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.

We have been lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community over the years, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

Meet the Hendersonville Team

Kathy Johnson-Warner

Branch Administrator

Kathy completed her bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare at Trevecca Nazarene University and her Master’s degree in social worker at The University of Tennessee. She has spent most of her career has been working with people with dementia and their families. Kathy’s passion for this population stems from her own experience as a family caregiver. She and her siblings helped care for their dad until his death from Alzheimer’s type dementia. They provided care for their mother. Kathy knows firsthand that families need help caring for their loved ones. She is thrilled to be able to connect individuals and families to the care they need. In her free time Kathy loves spending time with her husband, their two children and volunteering at a nonprofit she and her friends started.

Lindsay Summers

Care Manager

Lindsay was born and raised in Middle Tennessee and has been married to her husband, Jimmy, for thirteen years. They have two children, a beautiful daughter, Madalyn, and a handsome son, Franklin. Lindsay’s journey in Senior Care began over ten years ago when she became the primary caregiver for her grandmother who struggled with Alzheimer’s disease. She learned so much about the disease and what families go through. It was then she decided that she wanted to become an advocate for the seniors.

Her career path has now led me to Senior Helpers. As a Care Manager with Senior Helpers, Lindsay will be serving Sumner, Robertson, Montgomery and Davidson Counties. She is excited to be in a position to walk alongside families and help them navigate the challenges that come with caring for an aging loved one. She will be working closely with care partners in the community, to help transition patients home smoothly, with the services they need to live and remain safely at home. Her goal is to ensure that my clients receive the highest quality of care and their families get the peace of mind they deserve.

Samantha Pesz

HR Manager

Samantha Pesz is a Houston native who has had the opportunity to call many places her home. She has lived in Texas, North Carolina, California, Hawaii and Tennessee just to name a few places. As the oldest of five daughters, Samantha got her start in caregiving as her sisters’ babysitter. As she got older, she pursued a career in the medical field. She worked for a few years as a lab tech in a highly regarded pediatrician’s clinic here in Tennessee, before making a career change in the fall of 2019. Samantha started working for Senior Helpers as part of the corporate billing team, before joining the Hendersonville team in the summer of 2020 as the HR Manager. She and her assistant K’yanna make genuine efforts to ensure each caregiver and client feel like they are an important member of the Senior Helpers family.

Brandi Mullvain

Client Service Manager

Brandi Mullvain is the Client Service Manager for the Hendersonville office. Brandi is originally from Indiana where she was born and lived there until she moved to Tennessee in 2015. While she lived in Indiana, she worked as a Caregiver with Home Instead Senior Care for three years. Brandi was going to college for Radiography, while in Indiana, and got into the program when she had to relocate to Tennessee and had to decline the position. Brandi ended up graduating from Indiana University with a BS in General Studies and a minor in Psychology. Brandi loves Tennessee and has made it clear that she has no plans on moving anywhere else. Brandi has two sons, 9 and 14, who keep her on her toes. In her spare time, she loves to kayak, camp, read, listen to music, travel, write, and take pictures. She is a freelance photographer and has done wedding photography for 20+ years. Brandi hopes to have a positive impact on the company and help grow the Hendersonville office.

Jhazlyne Shavers

Field Coordinator

Jhaz has been a caregiver her entire life. She started her journey while caring for family members. Most recently Jhaz assisted her mother with her personal care needs. Working for Senior Helpers was a natural extension of her past experiences and provides her a work environment that allows her to use her natural gifts. Jhaz strives to go above and beyond and am driven to provide dependable care for our clients and their families. Caregiving allows her to demonstrate the love that she has for people. In her spare time, Jhaz models and is drawn to fashion design.
